Healing at The Second Story Studio

LA CARTE
ArtSpace is a workshop where you can come, set
aside your busy schedule for an afternoon and immerse
yourself in creative expression. It’s a great option if
you’d like to work in the company of others but can’t
commit to a weekly class. There will be a specific focus
for each workshop and sessions will include some soul
searching, learning about one’s personal mythology and
having fun.
“Collage: Beyond the Ordinary”
This workshop is meant to stir the creative pot
and unlock your creative process. We'll explore the art
of collage through cutting, tearing, painting and
pasting. We'll experiment with a variety of handmade and
rice papers, adhesives, and techniques. No previous art
experience necessary, but bring your spirit of adventure
and sense of humor. Class takes place in the
instructor's studio and includes a $20 materials fee.
ArtSpace
Find a haven of peace and tranquility as you
set aside time each week to explore the creative process
through art making. This 4-week course is designed to
restore your spontaneity and spirit, deepen your
connection with the creative process and help you
incorporate these into your daily life. We’ll work with
a variety of media and techniques including handmade
paper, fabric and clay. No previous art experience
necessary. Class fee includes $20 for materials.
MOTHER/DAUGHTER SOULCOLLAGE®
Celebrate Mother’s Day by spending a morning with your daughter making SoulCollage® cards. Taught by a mother and daughter, this workshop is a way to honor and deepen the special bond that exists between mothers and daughters. SoulCollage® is an expressive art process designed by Seena Frost that combines imagination and images with very simple techniques to create a unique and personal collage. No previous art experience is necessary. (Class limited to 10 participants; Minimum number is 6. Class fee includes a $10 materials fee.)
